Ms Williams and NASA's Barry Wilmore, who were to fly the Starliner to the Worldwide Space Station, have securely left the space apparatus.
This would have been the Indian-born astronaut's third spaceflight. She has already spent 322 days in space and held the record for the most hours spent by a woman in spacewalks before being surpassed by Peggy Whitson.
This time, she would have impacted the world forever as the primary lady to fly on a lady maintained mission of another space transport.
Ms Williams went on her most memorable space journey on December 9, 2006, which endured till June 22, 2007. While installed, she laid out a world record for ladies by going on four spacewalks that additional as long as 29 hours and 17 minutes.
Her subsequent journey was from July 14 to November 18, 2012.
The 59-year-old conceded to being a piece apprehensive yet said she had no nerves regarding flying in another rocket. She had helped plan the Starliner, working with engineers from NASA and Boeing. She stated, "When I get to the International Space Station, it will be like going home."

Prior, she had conveyed a duplicate of the Bhagwad Gita. An excited long distance runner, she had even finished a marathon in space, rivaling competitors back in the US.
